Minnows Cynosure FC crack Kwara United in Gov Okowa Pre Season Tourney

Onyeka Okoro was the hero as his 6th minute strike secured the maximum points for Cynosure FC in the Gov Okowa Pre Season Tourney.

Cynosure enjoyed early possession of the game at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Friday evening.

The only goal of the tie came through Onyeka Okoro who gracefully hit the bull eyes leaving goalkeeper Abdullateef Ishola stranded.

Kwara United instantly responded when Chinedu Ufere forced Loveday Anugbo to a smart save when he rolled out a rocket of a shot.

In order to maintain stability, Coach Deji Ayeni introduced Patrick Nwagogba for former Kwara United striker Deberachi Anyanwu and the lanky striker almost doubled Cynosure's lead through Francis Saviour's pinpoint cross.

Kwara United gaffer Abdullahi Biffo turned to experience as he brought on the duo of Thomas Adeshina and Isiaka Olawale for Abdullahi Idiami and Uche Chukwuma respectively.

The tactical adjustment almost paid off as Isiaka Olawale's freekick was palmed to safety by goalkeeper Loveday Anugbo before Thomas Adeshina's shot hit the side net.
