GOV OKOWA PRE SEASON TOURNEY: Rivers United, Tornadoes Stalemate In Forcible Encounter

Rivers United were held to a 0-0 draw by Niger Tornadoes in the Gov Okowa Pre Season Tourney at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Friday.

A Rivers United side which won it's first game against Abia Warriors saw an early attempt from Ossy Martins flash wide after he left Deji Bamidele as his wake.

Niger Tornadoes gradually grew into the game with their style of football as they dominated possession but a moment of two minutes madness saw Dosso Saib shown the exit door for a hard tackle on Onyedikachi Bright and a minute after the winger was also shown a red card for a foul on Abdulkadir Zango.

Both teams made changes as Umar Kabiru and Shamsudeen Hashimu came on for Tornadoes while Rivers United brought on Bamba Bakari and Esor Nelson but at the end both teams had to settle for a point each as Rivers United moved to 4 points from 2 games while Niger Tornadoes are on 1 point from a game played.
