In an interview with NBBF Media following the announcement of the electoral guidelines, the two-time Vice President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) stated assuming the position of Chairman of the committee was simple.
Glover said he is more than qualified to oversee an electoral process that all Nigerians and basketball stakeholders will be proud of, having been involved in more than 20 elections on a national and international level.
"Ministry put out a communication that some federations are allowed to organize their own elections based on their constitutions," Dr. Glover explained, "and having been a member of the Olympic Committee, I know that the Olympic Committee demanded to see the international approval of all federations' statutes."

As a supporter of sports federations' independence and internal governance, the opportunity to organize this historic election to the NBBF board was not one he would pass up.

He praised Chief Sunday Dare, the Honorable Minister of Sports, for taking a step in the right path.
