Teenage midfielder Onyebuchi Obasi hopes he can prove his impressive Remo Stars debut against Bendel Insurance was not a flash in the pan.

Obasi reflected on a "dream debut" after the 13-year-old played well in Remo Stars' 2-0 loss to Bendel Insurance at the ongoing Gov Okowa Pre Season Tourney.

The midfielder became the youngest player to start a game for Remo Stars at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Thursday and made the most of his opportunity.

He relished the chance given to him by coach Daniel Ogunmodede and hopes his impressive display is the sign of things to come.

He told Media: "It was a dream debut, also playing in midfield too. I had my teammates behind me encouraging me.

"It's an honor really to play for Remo Stars and to be the youngest. Hopefully I can get more games in."

The player declared his intention to play for boyhood club Chelsea in the nearest future.

"It has always been my burning desire to represent a club with history and prestige. I can't deny my love for Chelsea, because it's a club after my heart. In the next six years, my dream is to make good progress and play for the Blues," he concluded.
