The former Sunshine Stars boss felt winning the first game of the Gov Okowa Pre Season Tourney has given his players more confidence and will help to settle them down in Asaba.

"We must learn how to adapt to the way our opponents play.

"It was our first game of the competition and we knew it would be difficult, but we were strong in defence and I’m happy with the work the team put in after an enormous physical effort, although we didn’t play as we usually do.

"However, we were worthy winners and did a good job of closing them down."
