Coach Bala Abubakar has revealed what he told his players at halftime which saw Niger Tornadoes beating El-Kanemi Warriors 2-0 in their second game of the Nigeria National League (NNL) play-off in Enugu.

The Ikoh Allah side scored two second-half goals to go top of Group A with 4 points thus sealing a chance of promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) if they draw or beat Gombe United in their last game.

Bala said after the game," The difference between the team's play today against El-Kanemi Warriors to that of Tuesday against DMD of Maiduguri was the players showing more commitment to winning games as it's a different ball game now and if they could not qualify from the play-off, meant their hard work in the season was a waste.

" My Match Analyst gave me the team's first-half statistics. A critical loom at it, we made 30 successful attacks and created 11 goal scoring chances but did not convert any.

" We had to psyche them up, urge them to settle well into the game and don't be in a haste to shoot at goal once the half chance comes.

" That paid off as the El-Kanemi Warriors goalie gave us a penalty when he fouled Lukman Jimoh in the box and fell to a dummy from Lukman, allowing Munir Idris to chip the ball past him for our second goal.

" We should have won the game with a high margin, however, I give credit to my lads. Next is the last and another tough one. We'll play them with a different approach."
