Nigerian Wrestler, Odunayo Adekuoroye will not return to Nigeria after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, according to an online media platform

Veteran journalist, Godwin Enakhena who is a close source to the Wrestler, revealed on his Radio program (Top Sports) on Tuesday broke the news about the development.


Godwin Enakhena said," Odunayo Adekuoroye will not return to Nigeria after the Olympics, as she intends to move to next stage of her life and career. 

" She will going to school in the US and thereafter will chose to represent another country.”

It was also stated that Odunayo Adekuoroye is an adopted daughter of the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministeries, Dr Olukoya who has made every necessary arrangements for her to school and become a citizen of the United States.

Dr Olukoya shouldered the responsibilities of taking care of the abandoned athlete after Godwin Enakhena took her to him. He has been responsible for most of her trips and trainings across the world.


Odunayo Adekuoroye will compete in the gold medal match of the Women’s freestyle 57kg on Thursday. She is two times Commonwealth Games Gold medalist, two times bronze medalist in the world championship and once a silver medalist in the same event.


She’s not hiding her love for God and the man who adopted her (Dr Olukoya) always singing praises to his God everytime she’s got the opportunity to do so.
