Chief coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Edith Olumide Agoye, is already looking forward to a tougher contest, when the second round of the Nigeria National League (NNL) 2020/21 season resumes.

The Oluyole Warriors go into the break, leading Group B1 of the Southern Conference comfortably with 28 points from the available 33, 11 points more than second placed Rovers of Calabar who have 17 points, though with an outstanding pairing against Ekiti United.

With the commanding lead, soccer pundits believe the Ibadan soccer lords would have an easy ride over others when the second round resumes in two weeks time but the 3SC chief tactician thinks otherwise, saying that he envisaged a tougher round two.

" The second round will be a bit tougher than the first round, we are very aware of that. We want to continue from where we stopped when the league resumes.

" That demands a lot of hard work. We are not afraid to put in all we have in order to do that and it is a challenge for us because we will try as much as possible to do better than what we did I in the first round", said the ex international.

Speaking on the match against Ekiti United, Esin, as the gaffer is called, expressed satisfaction with the performance of his boys, putting into consideration the condition of the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium pitch.

" We are very happy with the fact that the players responded well. We are very satisfied with the standard of play because of the condition of the pitch, which is not good for football and when you go to play on a pitch like that, you should be happy to come out without losing", said the former Gateway United and Prime FC sweat merchant.

He attributed the superlative first round performance of the team to the support of the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, who he described as the number backer of the Oluyole Warriors, the Commissioner for Sports Asiwaju Seun Fakorede as well as the prayers of all the supporters and fans of the club.
