The Anambra Warriors manager, Uche Okagbue has attracted interest from Nigeria Professional Football League teams, mostly from the Northern parts and some teams from the South, after a sterling performance from the young coach in just two season.
Okagbue was a former player of Bendel Insurance, Julius Berger, and also played outside the shores Nigeria as a professional footballer in the Oman top-flight league, he worked as an assistant under Coach Ladan Bosso who left the team due to unpaid salaries and allowances.
The management of FC Ifeanyi Ubah handed Okagbue the number one role on the bench to allow him rebuild, ensure continuity, help the team maintain their status in the top flight level and ensure that the Nnewi side becomes a hub for talent discovery.
Everything has its due time, It would be recalled Okagbue was part of the Technical crew that took Remo Stars to the NPFL the first time four seasons ago. He also helped Gabros qualify from the Nationwide league to the National League and that has made many teams shown interest in the young tactician.
Since taking over as the head coach of Anambra Warriors, who were once the beautiful bride of the NPFL; attracting top players from across the country, Africa and even Brazil, he has received praise all over the country for his achievements with the team, their impressive performance in the last two seasons is highly commendable; qualifying for NPFL Super Six in 2019 and how they managed to stay unbeaten at home last season before the Coronavirus Outbreak which forced the league to be cancelled, despite having the youngster team in the league.

" I have bunch of players who are ready to learn.” I told my boys not to fret because we have alot to achieve and nothing to lose, We have the depth and with time you will bring out your best in the league.
" No one gave us a chance when the season began, the doubters did not think we could get here. Slowly but surely we have proved them all wrong and make a bold statement, every team now like the Coaching philosophy and the system.
The tactician also couldn’t hold back his satisfaction from the team, as he believes that it wasn’t easy for a team to take the league by storm the way they have done, so right now i remain with FC Ifeanyi Ubah, i really enjoyed working here but no one knows what can happen tomorrow, our job is all about hire and fire.
However, with the cash crunch at the club in recent times, causing backlog of salaries up to Eight months owed the players and coaching staff, Okagbue refused to say anything concerning that, " Question about salaries should be directed to the management of the club, all i know and talk about is coaching and developing players; an evident that he cared so much about the plight of the club.
