Toluwalase Emmanuel Arokodare celebrates a goal for Valmiera FC of Latvian Virsliga

Nigerian forward, Toluwalase Emmanuel Arokodare scored his first career hattrick for Valmiera as they came from behind to defeat Tukums 2000 2-3 in the Latvian Virsliga on Friday night to keep pressure on league leaders. 

5 Nigerians were on parade when FK Tukums welcomed Valmiera FK to the Tukuma stadium with league top scorer Arokodare hoping to continue his fine form and increase his goal tally. 

The 19-year-old, who stands at 1.91 metres, powerfully built, good aerially and he is a handful inside the box, also a former member of the Golden Eaglets squad under Garba Manu, needed just 5 minute to announce himself as he bundled home the opener for Valmeria before fellow countryman Emeka Basil equalized with a ferocious effort in the 20th minutes to make the game 1-1.

Kriss Karklins then put the host 2-1 up ten minute after the restart when he put through his own goal before Tolu equalised for Valmiera in the 62nd minute and scored the winning goal of the game on the stroke of 90 minutes to earn a 2-3 win for his side.

Tolu has now scored 12 league goals in 13 games for Valmiera this season as the club currently seats in the third position on the league table with 21 points after 13 games, 15 points behind league leaders, Riga FC.

Valmiera FC signs Tolu Arokodare last year after an impressive scouting report of the players, completed negotiation with Nigerian side Box2box Football Club and sealed a five-year deal alongside two other Nigerian players, Laide Badmus (central defender) and Saliyu Abdullahi (midfielder). 

Tolu, is a Top target for top clubs in Czech Republic, Spain as well as clubs in Germany and France to mention few.
