The Emmanuel Ndubuisi Egbo tinkered FK Tirana team won the Albanian Kategoria Superiore last weekend after 11 years in the wilderness. UEFA Pro License gaffer wrote his name in Gold and became the first foreign coach to win the coveted title for Tirana FK.

Albania based Nigerian Football coach has attributed his success in Albania to God and his players maximization of his tactical philosophy. It was the 25th league success for the greatest team in Albanian and ex Super Eagles goal minder was integral to the achievement. 

Ndubuisi Egbo is one of the highly respected Goalkeepers to have played in the Nigeria Professional Football League. His level of performance and talent has always been top-notch, and recently became the first Nigerian coach to win a European title after winning the Albania League title with Tirana.

Coach Egbo in an exclusive interview with Nigeria Sports Mouthpiece NSM Rebranded on Monday said it was all God and his coaching staff willingness to drill the team to success.

He also lend his voice as regards the Super Eagles lack of fear mentality at winning the AFCON, saying National teams across Africa and some part of the World go into every game against the Super Eagles with fear.

" Back then, you can't mention just one best player in the team, everyone was good, we had Kanu Nwankwo, Jay Jay Okocha, Finidi George, Celestine Babayaro, Tijani Babangida, Victor Ikpeba and a host of other top players that scares the opponent. 

" Then any team playing against the Super Eagles they feel like they are already a goal or two goals down because of the big names in the team, opponents go into the game afraid but football Nations have improved and they have players abroad".

The coach believed that if the Super Eagles gets back the consistent winning mentality and fear factor, the glory days will return in no distant time. He featured 12 games for the Super Eagles as a goalkeeper during his playing time. 

Egbo who was born 25 July 1973, is a Nigerian football manager and former footballer. His is currently the manager of Albanian club KF Tirana.

Majorly played second-fiddle to Ike Shorunmu in the Super Eagles squad then, having failed to play a game during the 2000 and 2002 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournaments.

He teamed up with Tirana initially as a goalkeeping coach before rising to be the Manager in 2019. Last weekend, Egbo masterminded a 2-0 win for Tirana over Flamurtari FC at Stadiumi Selman Stërmasi (Tiranë).

The result ensured that Tirana won the league title with three games to go. Indeed Egbo deserves to be celebrated.
