The Ikole township stadium in Ikole local government of the state has received the pledged attention.
According to pictures made available to the press from the stadium, work commenced earlier today Monday 11th May, 2020 with the executive chairman of Ikole local government Hon. Sola Olominu on ground to supervise the on going work himself.
Recall that Special Adviser to Ekiti state governor on Trade, Investment and Innovations Mr. Akintunde Oyebode pledged few weeks ago that the stadium will be given facelift to host sporting activities in the state, starting with the clearing of about 10 hectares of bushes surrounding the football pitch.

Oyebode who is the patron of Ikole local football council and Ekiti FA U-16 team (Ekiti Bees) has also assured that the construction of a one thousand capacity sitting terrace in promised to facilitate is still on course so that the stadium which is the sports heritage of the Ikole people can play host to football activities when sporting action resumes again in the state.
