FC Ifeanyi Ubah Players Celebrates a goal
Coach of Ifeanyi Ubah football club Uche Okagbue has described his team's 1-0 win over Kano Pillars played Sunday in Nnewi in the week 11 clash of the Nigeria Professional football league, as a hard earned victory.

Speaking after the game, Okagbue praised Kano Pillars for giving his boys a tough game. According to him, their opponents refused to lie low even after in- form striker Uche Ihuorua gave his team the lead in second half of the match.

" I want to praise our opponents for their performance and determination to get a result against us. However, I must also commend my boys for their tactical discipline and desire to win always," he stated.

He went ahead to attribute his team's top form to the financial and moral motivation the players have been receiving since the season began.

" The players and officials are well motivated and the welfare packages are also encouraging. The players get their winning bonuses immediately after each game. And you can call that, the magic behind our good runs so far," he remarked.

Okagbue, a former head coach of Remo Stars was however, quick to react to queries on the targets set for the technical crew by the management.

" The management of my team didn't give me any target for this season. However, it is our desire to do well in the ongoing matches and qualify for the super four, and eventually pick a continental ticket," he responded.

Ifeanyi Ubah presently tops group B of the NPFL with 21 points from eleven matches.
