The Nigeria Football Federation Electoral Committee Wednesday unveiled plan for the September 29th, 2018 federation’s presidential election in Kastina.

Unveiling the plan at the press conference in Abuja, the Chairman of the committee, Barrister Muhammad Sani Katu Esq, revealed that the committee would do all it could to ensure a rancor free elections.

He also disclosed that, September 29th elections is subject to approval by the Congress of the NFF and any amendments to the NFF statutes 2010 in view of the NFF Bill before National Assembly.

The sales, endorsements and return of the nomination forms, Monday 21st May to 4th June, 2018.

According to him, Screenning of candidature, Thursday, Monday, 23rd July, 2018 while release of names of candidates 23rd July, 2018.

“Submission of protests/Appeals Tuesday 24th to Thursday, 26th July 2018. Hearing of protests/Appeals Friday 27th Saturday, 29th July 2018.

“Publication of the first list of candidates Monday 30th 2018.”

“We will try as much as possible to distance ourselves from, presidency, NFF and any other prominent Nigerian that may want to influence us, that is why we try as much as possible to operate independently.

“We have spent our resources, our time to ensure we leverage on mistakes of the past to have a credible, free and fair elections.” he said.

Speaking further, Committee chairman also, reveal the price of the form for the position of president, Vice President and Ordinary board members will goes for N350,000, N300,000 and N250, 000 respectively.

On eligibility of the candidates, he said those vying for ordinary member position must 30 years old while those of the positions of Vice President and President must be 35 years of age.
” Must have post primary school certificate, be a citizen of Nigeria and a registered member of a Club recognized by the Nigeria Football Federation.

Evidence of Tax payment for 2 years, verifiable means of livelihood and such person must be endorsed two members of the NFF,” he said
