Rangers International vs MFM FC in NPFL Clash
Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club earned a crucial away point after a goalless draw against Enugu Rangers in a rescheduled fixture of Matchday 13 of the Nigeria Professional Football League decided on Thursday at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium.

MFM FC made just one change to the team that played a 1-1 draw against Rivers United on Sunday in Lagos as Zikiye Jonathan replaced Ubakanma Peter in the starting line up.

The Olukoya Boys made the first meaningful impact of the game in the 12th minute of the match when Olatunbosun Sikiru put the visitors in front with a neat finish after receiving a pass from Onuwa Chukwuka but the centre referee, Mohammed Gata ruled it offside.

Enugu Rangers came close to scoring the first goal of the game after 20 minutes of exchange via a well taken free kick by Solomon Okpako after a foul on Godwin Aguda but Folarin Abayomi punched the ball to safety.

The Flying Antelopes had a glorious chance to take the lead two minutes after Okpako's attempt when Ugonna Anyora set up Solomon with a pass but the latter's effort from inside the visitors box missed the target.

Olatunbosun had a chance to score with less than two minutes to end the first half but he was denied by the cross bar when his left footed strike hit the woodwork after receiving a pass from Adebayo Waheed.

Enugu Rangers came out strong in the second half and  pinned MFM FC in their half with series of attacking display but the Lagos-based team soaked all the pressure with great defending. Godwin Aguda attempted to score from way out when he tested Folarin Abayomi with a shot but the goalkeeper saved the ball.

The hosts continued with their attacking display and they almost scored in the 73rd minute but the woodwork again denied Chidera Eze his goalscoring attempt following a well taken free kick.

The 75th minute of the encounter would have been a defining moment for Enugu Rangers after a goalmouth scramble which could have been a goal but Zikiye Jonathan was just at the right position to clear the ball away on the goalline.

The entertaining encounter ended in a goalless draw for both teams as MFM FC moved to 10th from 11th position on the NPFL table with 24 points from 16 games.
