He also sent his special appreciation to all the participated teams and coaches for their relentless effort for helping the young girls in developing and exposing their football talent for the betterment of their future and the future of Nigeria women football.
Mr.John congratulated Young Talent 99 Queens Football Academy for emerging the 2017 season Wafa League Champion and also went ahead to give accolades to other Teams that made it to the Super 4; FC Phoenix Queens Royaltoms Queens and Jagunmolu Queens as they emerge the positions 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
In preparation for the new season, the majority raised and passed a motion to relieve inactive Executives from their offices to aid a better and functional work force for the new season. To this effect, Vote of no confidence was passed on some Wafa Excos for failing to perform their duties without any valid reasons acceptable by Wafa members.
The following executive officers have been relieved of their positions with immediate effect:

The Chairman promised that the offices shall be occupied by capable personnels as soon as possible.
Wafa League Matches for the 2018 Season will be played on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). All participating Teams are expected to make their Home ground available for league matches on weekends.
During the meeting, a Constitution review committee was set up by the Executives. Members of the committee are; Miss Akintoye Yemisi, Mr. Bagbe Michael, Mr. Adetunji Ganiu and Mr. Olajide Royal (Secretary).
The Chairman reminded all members that Wafa primary objective is to discover female football players, build them, develop them and expose them to the road to their stardom. He further promised that all registered teams for Wafa League 2018 season shall benefit before, during and after the season.
The registration for Wafa League 2018 season has been declared opened while the date for the Congress/Draws shall be communicated to the public as soon as possible.
