Kingsley Eduwo in the colours of CS Sfaxien in Tunisia
When the news broke that Kingsley Eduwo had been dropped by the management of the CHAN Super Eagle it was met with disbelief by Nigerian who had come to love the Striker whose strike against the Benin Republic was partly responsible for the team qualification to the CHAN Championship in Morocco.

Little was known then that the former Lobi Stars hitman had agreed a move to CS Sfaxien of Tunis which immediately ruled him out of contention.

Fast forward to a day when the gallant warriors of the CHAN Eagles were doing battle to secure a slot in the Finals of the CHAN Championship, their colleague was facing a battle of his own in the Tunisia Ligue 1.

Kingsley Eduwo was brought on in the final 20 minutes in a bid to try and secure all three points for his team against a dodged Stade Gabésien team boasting another former Lobi Star player, Moses Okuma.

Eduwo must have thought he had written his name in gold when his effort found the back of the net but his joy was short lived as the referee ruled the goal out.
