Coach Hassan Abubakar and his Technical Crew 

Technical Adviser of Sokoto United, Hassan Abubakar says it's work in progress for his team as they intensify preparations for the kick off of the new Nigeria National League (NNL) season. 



Abubakar who helped Gombe Utd to gain promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) two seasons ago, said:"After my arrival to Sokoto about two weeks ago, it has been a whole lot of work on the pitch with the players, as they sweat it out daily in one or two practice sessions, as my assistants and I watch with keen interest.



"The essence of this program all geared towards knowing their fitness level and to key into my own pattern of play and game plan.

"We're aware that the season will kick in the first week of March so we want to make the most of the time we had to build a compact team. I don't intend to have more than 30 players in my squad meaning some will be considered surplus requirement.



"We should be in Kaduna for two weeks camping. This surely will be the last phase of the program and from there I should able to know my starting team," the former Eaglets coach stressed.

The Caliphate Boys will kick of the season at home against a yet to be named team.
