But then, it got me thinking, even this people are human and live in the same society which considers such acts as “impossible”. Then how did they do such an extraordinary thing? What made them think they could do it in the first place? Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic, and Anthony Joshua the great and current heavyweight boxing Champion.

The Late Muhammad Ali once said"
“Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have the skill, and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.”

“To be a great champion you must believe you are the best. If you’re not, pretend you are.”
“A champion is a person who can achieve a difficult goal or overcome challenging obstacles.”

“A champion is a person who has earned the right and respect to be called a winner through an endless effort and desire to achieve a common goal.”

“A champion is a person who wants to be the best. They won’t give up until they beat the rest.”

“A champion is a person with passion to achieve — one who stands on principle and works hard every day to produce and accomplish.”

“A champion is a person that has the dedication that it takes.”
“A champion is a person who can put the whole season together.”
“A champion is a person who improves his strengths in battlefield irrespective of whether he wins or not.”
“A champion is a person or team who defends, supports, or defeats something.”
“A champion is a person who works the hardest and dedicates him or herself to doing the best job possible.”

Hockey’s Great One, Wayne Gretzky, was asked, “What is it that separates great champions from the near-great?” He replied, “MY GOODNESS, I DON’T KNOW. IF I DID, I’D BOTTLE IT UP AND SELL IT.” People are not born champions; they are made champions. They have dreams, they work hard and they overcome failures. Goliath was the reigning champion, but David was the real champion. Goliath was naturally big, tall, strong, but David cut him down to size.

What makes a person a true champion? A champion trains in his spare time; he is tenacious in the course and his trust is in the Lord.

With experience, reading and association with champions in various fields of leadership, what I have come to know is; if there is anything worthwhile that has been ever done by anybody, it first needed a person who had the dream, who had the desire to do something of that sort. Every Sports athlete in our country needs to develop ideology of real champion.

These athletes, who perform such amazingly, generally have years and years of hard work invested in developing that kind of passion, strength and focus. But, nobody was watching them when they were silently practicing, sweating themselves out. Nobody, no media was recording those moments of frustrations, struggles they were going through doing the years of preparation… In fact many people would have told them crazy and would have discouraged them saying they were never going to make it…
The difference between extraordinary people and ordinary people
is as simple as the difference between the two words.
Extraordinary people are committed to doing the
extra things that ordinary people won't

1. CHAMPIONS EXPECT TO WIN – When they walk on the court, on the field, into a meeting or in a classroom they expect to win. In fact they are surprised when they don’t win. They expect success and their positive beliefs often lead to positive actions and outcomes. They win in their mind first and then they win in the hearts and minds of their customers, students or fans.

2. CHAMPIONS DON’T MAKE EXCUSES WHEN THEY DON’T WIN – They don’t focus on the faults of others. They focus on what they can do better. They see their mistakes and defeats as opportunities for growth. As a result they become stronger, wiser and better.

3. CHAMPIONS FOCUS ON WHAT THEY GET TO DO, NOT WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO – They see their life and work as a gift not an obligation. They know that if they want to achieve a certain outcome they must commit to and appreciate the process. They may not love every minute of their journey but their attitude and will helps them develop their skill.

4. CHAMPIONS BELIEVE THEY WILL EXPERIENCE MORE WINS IN THE FUTURE – Their faith is greater than their fear. Their positive energy is greater than the chorus of negativity. Their certainty is greater than all the doubt. Their passion and purpose are greater than their challenges. In spite of their situation champions believe their best days are ahead of them, not behind them.
If you don’t think you have what it takes to be a champion, think again. Champions aren’t born. They are shaped and molded. And as iron sharpens iron you can develop your mindset and the mindset of your team with the right thinking, beliefs and expectations that lead to powerful actions.

Many Sport athletes allows smallest of obstacles steal their dream away…
This article is dedicated to all my readers who have a dream, for those who are in the hunt and chasing their dreams. If you are in the zone, fighting those challenges, facing those fears and discouragements and keeping the dream alive, I just want to let you know you are a champion!
