PLATEAU UNITED 1 - 0 WIKK TOURIST
Plateau United have returned to the summit of the Nigeria Professional Football League table after a hard-fought 1-0 win against visiting Wikki Tourists in a matchday 17 encounter on Sunday. Plateau’s goal was scored by Reuben Bala from the penalty spot on 57 minutes following a handball inside the penalty box. The wins means Plateau are now on 31 points.

NASARAWA 4 - 0 MFM FC

Former leaders MFM FC were thrashed 4-0 away to Nasarawa UnitedGoals from Adamu Hassan, Yinka Onaolapo (61st minute), Anthonin Oussou (83rd minute) and Abdulrahman Bashir (86th minute) secured the emphatic win for Nasarawa. MFM drop to third in the league table following their heavy loss to Nasarawa.


ELKANEMI WARRIORS 1 - 0 KANO PILLARS

Kano Pillars lost 1-0 to El-Kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri.
The only goal of the game was scored by Mathias Samuel on 53 minutes. El-Kanemi have now gone up to second position on 30 points and also to ensure that the Borno club extended their winning run at home to 22 games on the spin.

ENYIMBA FC 2 - 1 ENUGU RANGERS 

Mfon Udoh was the hero for Enyimba as he inspired them to a 2-1 success over southeast rivals and NPFL champions Enugu Rangers. Udoh scored one and assisted Stephen Chukwude for the other after Daniel Etor's free kick had put Rangers in front till the break. Rangers remain bottom of the pile while Enyimba are now sixth with 25 points after 17 matches.

AKWA UNITED 4 - 2 SHOOTING STARS

In Uyo, Akwa United defeated Shooting Stars 4-2.
Friday Ubong opened the scoring on 11 minutes before a hat-trick from Alhassan Ibrahim in the 28th, 36th and 44th minute, gave Akwa a 4-0 half-time lead. Ibrahim now has nine league goals.

Shooting Stars pulled a goal back through Moses James on 58 minutes. Taiwo Shittu made it 4-2 on 90 minutes but it was too little too late as Akwa held on.

IFEANYI UBAH 2 - 1 SUNSHINE STARS

It was dramatic in Nnewi as FC Ifeanyiubah winger Prince Aggreh missed a spot kick on 56 minutes against Sunshine Stars. Eight minutes later, Sunshine Stars got their noses in front through Joseph Abbey. Another spot kick awarded to FC Ifeanyiubah was dispatched by Godwin Obaje before Seka Pascal's individual brilliance sealed a late winner for the hosts to leave Sunshine Stars' contingent heartbroken.
NIGER TORNADOES 2 - 1 LOBI STARS
Tornadoes playing at home edged Lobi Stars 2-1, a game full of tension and power. Luther Iyorhe's goal prove to be mere consolation for the away team after Ibrahim Babawo has scored a brace to put Niger Tornadoes in commanding position.  
REMO STARS 1 - 0 KATSINA UNITED
Super Sub, Dufegha Eric stole the show with the winning goal in the 89th minute of the game to restore hope from the Sky Blue Stars in the last home game of the first half of the season against Katsina United in one of Match Day 17 fixtures at the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu. The Sky Blue Stars started the game brilliantly with Onovo David having the first attempt in the 2nd minute. Victor Mbaoma had a chance to put the host ahead from Awoyemi Abiodun's free kick, Katsina United's Danjuma was took good to deny him yet again.

GOMBE UNITED 1 - 0 RIVERS UNITED
Idris Bakare scored for Gombe United to secure the maximum three points and then two minutes to time got sent off for a second bookable offence. Rivers united dropped to 19th position on the log and this means more pressure for Stanley Eguma and his boys.

ABIA WARRIORS 2 - 0 ABS 

Biffo's lads bounce back from their defeat to MFM to edge ABS 2goals to nothing and this win means so much to the team by putting them 5th on the log.
