Participants can register for the marathon on February 12, 2022, either online or by picking up hard copy forms at the Marathon Office within the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
Forms for the 2022 race will also be available at some Access Bank locations.
Unlike the previous edition, which was confined to only elite runners, the 2022 marathon will be accessible to all, including fun runners in the 10km category, according to a press statement issued by Olukayode Thomas, Head of Communication and Media for the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon.
Following the initial decline in the number of participants and outright cancellations caused by the coronavirus epidemic, Thomas said that road races have since recovered to full capacity around the world.

"Yes, we're back to full capacity, just like the rest of the world's top races," he said. With the return of the 10km fun run, we expect 80,000-100,000 people to participate in the seventh edition of our annual race."
The Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, already regarded as the continent's largest one-day event, is slated to host the 7th edition, making it the first marathon in Nigeria to do so.
The Access Bank Lagos City Marathon is also the first marathon in Africa to receive a World Athletics Bronze Label after two editions, and the first race in the world to receive the prestigious Silver Label after four editions.
The Access Bank Lagos City Marathon is in the top ten in the world in terms of prize money, and the Lagos race is proudly among the top five in the world in terms of participation.
