Left back , Daniel Itodo has won the maiden edition of the Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu monthly award for players of Plateau United Football Club of Jos.

According to a Press Release Signed by the Media Officer Plateau United Football Club of Jos, Albert Dakup, Itodo is one of the longest serving players of the team scooped the award for his exemplary conduct in training, commitment and hardwork in the club's pre-season ahead of the fast approaching 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

The Former Dynamic Sporting Solution DSS of Kaduna long throw specialist, ward off challenges from other players to win the award which was institutionalized by the new Head Coach shortly on assumption of duty.

Speaking on the motive of the award , Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu said the essence of the competition is encourage hardwork, commitment and dedication in the team.


" This is my own little way of encouraging commitment and dedication in the team , so that it will create healthy competition among my players as we prepare ahead of the new NPFL season.

An elated Itodo who spoke after receiving the award stated that the award will spur him to keep working hard to ensure the overall success of the team and thanked his teammates for their support adding that without them, he would not have won the award.
