Islanders appear to be on their way to a spot in the National Final 8 of the ongoing Nigeria Basketball Federation-organized league after a victory over Invaders of Ekiti.
With a 64-49 victory, they won their second game in a row, giving them a perfect record in the Atlantic Conference.
After defeating CAMAC 71-52 points in the second game of the day, the Kwara Falcons won their third game and moved to the top of the conference.

Against a tenacious Police Baton of Lagos, Conference favorite Rivers Hoopers put on yet another overwhelming performance.

Although Police Baton, led by Dike Dominic, gave it their all, they were unable to overcome a 36-point deficit, with the game concluding 88-52.

Benjamin Ikechukwu came through for the Hoopers when they needed him the most, hitting some big threes that broke the Police team's resolve, resulting in a 17-point victory.

With a 57-68 victory over Ondo Raiders, the Lagos Raptors earned their first win after three games.

On Saturday, Police Baton will look to rebound against Coal City Miners, who have yet to win a game since the league began.

The day's main event will be a match between Kwara Falcons and Lagos Islanders, who have yet to drop a game, while Rivers Hoopers will seek to feast on Raptor before Ondo Raiders face CAMAC.

After Friday was designated as a rest day for all teams, basketball activity will resume for Abuja fans.

Defenders will face Reformers, Customs will face Kano Pillars, and Gombe Bulls, who are now second on the log, will face City Chiefs.

Nigeria Army will play Benue Braves in the final game of the day.
