Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, completed the double over Stationery Stores of Lagos, beating the bottom of the table side 3-0 in a matchday 19 match of the Nigeria National League (NNL).

Three second half goals, one  by Gafar Olafimihan and a brace by Malomo Ayodeji Taofeek, condemned the Flaming Flamingos to their second loss to the Oluyole Warriors in the 2020/21 campaign.

The Lagos based side held their nerves to survive the firepower of the homers in the first half, defending very well even as their goalie, Idris made some good saves to deny the Stars any goal in the first half.

The second half was however a different ball game as the coach Edith Agoye tutored lads, increased the pressure on the visitors, one of which led to the hacking of Gafar Olafimihan in the 18 yard box, resulting in a penalty kick, which the goal poacher himself perfectly tucked in.

The goal was the tonic the table toppers needed as they continued the search for more goals.

The introduction of Olukokun Najeem and Salawudeen Ibrahim, who was drafted in after substitute Francis Anene got injured, added more bites to the 3SC attack which Stores, tutored by ex Shooing Stars player, Shakiru Lawal found hard to handle.

The Oluyole Warriors doubled their lead in the 81st minute when Malomo Ayodeji, finished up a marvellous build up, slamming home the ball, off a well tailored pull out by left back Amodu Nurudeen, who was located by Salaudeen Ibrahim.

Three minutes later, another fabulous build up resulted in the third goal as the sleeky Malomo killed off the game, beautifully curling in the ball, after receiving a pass from Olukokun .

It was a repeat of the first meeting between both sides in Lagos which the Stars won 3-0 courtesy of goals by Gafar Olafimihan, who scored a first half brace and a second half strike by Malomo Ayodeji.

The Ibadan soccer lords, who next meet Dynamite Force in a rescheduled matchday17 match next Sunday in Iyahmo, now have 41 points from 18 games while Stores remain rooted to the bottom of the table with just 13 points.
