He said match day 1 will have NUJ lock horns with Radio Kwara at 2pm while NTA and The Herald take to the field at 4pm.

According to him, Tuesday February 23, was set aside for the memorial lecture while the final of the football competition will come up on Thursday, Feb. 24 at the Main Bowl of the Kwara Stadium Complex, Ilorin at 4pm.

The statement appealed to all sports stakeholders in the state to attend and honour the late Fashikun whose contributions to sports development in Nigeria is immeasurable.

It would be recalled that late Fashikun died in Abuja on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019 after a brief illness.
