Kwara United secured their second home win of the season on Matchday Six of the Nigeria Professional Football League at the Kwara State Sports Complex, Ilorin. 

FC Ifeanyi Ubah looked frailing in their dispositions and struggle to defend loads of stormy scenes throughout the regulation time, but really lucky not to concede more than just a goal in that encounter. 


Uche Okagbue, the Technical Adviser of FC Ifeanyi Ubah adjudged the game as "hard luck" and expressed belief that his boys will bounce back from the bad time.

" It was a hard luck. We came for a purpose either to win or pick a point but I know the boys will come up again". 


He explained that the squad is a new team and giving the fact that they resumed about three weeks to the league, It will take some time before they fall back on line.

" Thirteen of our regular players left the team and some of the boys are just playing in the league" Okagbue quipped

He expressed optimism that the team despite their shortcomings will end among the first six teams though would only need to pick up some points away from home.

On the part of Kwara United Coach, Abdullahi Biffo thumbs up his boy's performance for overcoming the six man defence line up of the Anambra Warriors.

He noted that the visitor's tactics almost pay off but due to his lads resilience they overcame an emotional burden. We dominated the game but had to deal with the nightmare of hitting the back of the net - with some of their woodwork not finding the needed aptness


Also Speaking about the challenges of chances conversion, Biffo stated that although no team is perfect but they will strive to improve on their goal's tricks.

Kwara United will face MFM FC in their next NPFL clash in Lagos as they are now seating 5th on the log with 11 points

FC Ifeanyi Ubah will also be playing Wikki Tourist in their next game now occupies 18th position on the league with 4 points from 6 games.
