Former Warri Wolves FC Coach, Mansur Abdullahi has stated that, the urge to go into football coaching made him to quit teaching.

Mansur who is the scribe of the FCT Coaches Association who was a guest on the Sports World WhatsApp platform said the Chairman of FCT Coaches Coach Godwin Bamigboye introduced him into the profession.


The Abuja based NIS graduate who also holds CAF C and B licence said later became the pioneer coach of the Successful Puma FC, FCT., the side that discovered and nurtured series of youth sensations who later represented Nigeria at international scene, notable amongst them are former youth international Agboyi Ovakha, Nosa Igiebor, Rabiu Ibrahim, Kingsley Udoh and Chichi Igbo who played for Super Falcons in 2007 World Cup.

Coach Mansur has once tinkered National U-13 female side ditto male counterparts. He was later deployed to serve as an assistant coach of Super Falcons, he acted in the same capacity with the U-20 Super Falconets. He has been to the two World Cups with National Under 17 sides.
