This was made known after the Executive Committee meeting held online on Friday 23rd October where deliberations were made about the starting of football activities in the state since the ban has been lifted on contact sports in the country.
According to the chairman of the Ekiti State Football Association Mr. Bayo Olanlege, he stated that it took about four months to put the website together.
" You recall we published the story about our plans to build an official website for our association on 25th July, 2020 and to the glory of God, next Sunday 1st November, 2020, we shall launch our official website"

The FA chairman also heaped praises on Mr. Segun Oke - one of the patrons of the FA and also of the Oye local football council who set the ball rolling by paying a substantial amount to Uptech Systems and IT Solutions company to develop a website for the football ecosystem in the state.
Also at the Executive Committee meeting, the Board unanimously approved the 2020/2021 affiliation fee for teams and organizations within the Ekiti football ecosystem and appealed to all concerned to pay their affiliation to the FA.
The Ekiti FA also approved the appointment of Mr. Pelumi Abiara as the Chief Operating Officer of the State League Board that presently handles the Bet9ja Ekiti Football League for development of football in the state.
