Ikeja League players has thumbs up the efforts of NSF - USA for remembering and putting smiles on the faces of players this challenging period.

Last season highest goal scorer, Clinton Omonedo has expressed joy and commended Nigeria Soccer Federation (NSF)-USA for their kind gesture after they distributed food items as COVID-19 relief package to over 400 (Four Hundred) grassroot players in Lagos state.
Omonedo who plays for Dominion Stars scored a total of 19 goals to take home the golden shoe.

He told reporters at the Ikeja Local Government Council after he got his relief package: " I'm delighted as this is the best time to have the relief package after the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 lifted the ban on football and all contact sports.

" One problem players at this level face is not knowing what to eat before or after training, so this gesture has shown that NSF-USA place value on Nigerian players at the grassroots.'

" Now that football is back, I'll focus and channel my energy into my training sessions, and worry less as I now have food to eat.

" I hope to build on the record I have set as top scorer of the Ikeja League and move places next season as my ultimate goal is to play in one of the best leagues in Europe.'

Captains of YG Football Club and Black Haus (a team sponsored by son of late AfroBeat King, Seun Kuti) thanked NSF-USA for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Biola nicknamed Pogba by his Black Haus teammates expressed his delight.

" This initiative by NSF-USA is a laudable one, as grassroot players in the country find it challenging not knowing where the next meal would come from. The palliative is the biggest encouragement I've so far received since sports was locked down globally due to the CoronaVirus pandemic."

" Thumbs up to NSF-USA for the relief package given to my teammates and I. I wish them the best as the gesture has shown how they value grassroot players,"said Kehinde Tijani the captain of YG Football Club.
