The former Technical Assistant to Coach Kabiru Dogo at Sunshine Stars FC, Yusuf Salihu has hinted his availability to work for any club which might demand for his service.

Coach Salihu, a disciplinarian cum tactician believes he has all the wherewithal to handle top flight club in the country, having learnt the ropes of the dug - out business with packs of qualification to his credit and cognate experience over the years. 


As he wishes to get a new job soon, he expressed his preference for a serious club that have respect for value and discipline in operations which will in turn guarantee a high quality technical services delivery. 

Recalling one of his iconic moment as the former Technical Adviser of FC Yarmalight of Gombe, the CAF B licensed coach was able to promote the team from Amateur to the NNL in his first season as the handler of the Club.


Salihu, an Ex- Nigeria Air force officer who has also passed through all the three tiers league in the country ( NLO, NNL and NPFL) revealed that, after promoting the Club, he teamed up with Coach Dogo at Sunshine Stars FC upon his call to join him in his new assignment.

A decision which stemmed out of their long time relationship from the grassroot and most expecially during their time at ABS Ilorin FC .

The Ilorin born gaffer and Ex-ABS Coach said, the decision to leave FC Yarmalight was based on a mutual agreement with the club and the expiration of his contract as he equally added that the call from Dogo is a call he could never reject.


As a Technical Assistant, he described the two seasons at Sunshine Stars as a memorable one, saying he has no regret working with his former boss who he reveres dearly.

With his recently acquired Pro Football Management Masterclass Certificate, Salihu, who has also assisted Coach Samson Unuanel at Kwara United Feeders demonstrated high sense of  preparedness in taking up a new task.


A second class upper graduate of Physical and Health Education, Scheedow, as he is fondly called is also an holder of BFut '4' and CAF 'C' Coach licenses, and with his adept youth football coaching and  administration experience, he hopes to get a call for duty very soon in order to materialise his well grounded acquired knowledge.
