New Nigeria international Cyriel Dessers wants his future to be sorted out as soon as possible after impressing in the Dutch Eredivise.

The 25-year-old player caught the eye with his goalscoring ability during the 2019/20 Eredivisie season which has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Dessers scored 18 goals across all competitions for Heracles and registered six assists as the team’s best attacker.

His exploits are said to have attracted interest from former Belgian champions KRC Genk.

Dessers, who was born in Belgium to a Belgian father and Nigerian mother, is now looking to leave Heracles.

" I hope there will be news soon. I don’t want to drag and wait all summer. Without corona it would have been very different, I think,” Dessers told Tubantia.

Now the market is so uncertain, everything is uncertain. With the transfers I made before, I really relied on my gut feeling. The feeling must be top.

" I read somewhere that they want to extend the transfer period to October, they can do that, but really, I don’t want to wait that long and be in uncertainty.”

Dessers joined Heracles from Dutch side Utrecht last August on a three-year deal and it remains to be seen whether the club will agree to sell him.

He played for Belgian clubs OH Leuven and Sporting Lokeren before moving to Holland in 2016 where he joined NAC Breda.
