The Management of Rangers International football club of Enugu under the leadership of Prince Davidson Owumi, has announced though with heavy heart that her former Striker - Ifeanyi George Onwubiko and all Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) registered players and officials have valid Insurance cover that will last till 2021 with 'The Premier Brokers Ltd'.
According to a release signed by the club Secretary, Emeka Ferdinand Ugwuerua, family of the deceased player will receive millions of Naira as part of the compensation activated.
The Insurance Policy covers minor and major injuries both on the field of play and off the pitch. As such, Ifeanyi's family are entitled to receive such.

The statement reads, "while we mourn the untimely loss of our dear player, Ifeanyi George Onwubiko, we have drafted a notice to the club's insurance company (The Premier Brokers Ltd) an Incorporated Insurance Brokers & Pension Consultant who had hitherto been very responsive and can confidently assure the public that the late Striker's case shall be amenable to the maximum insurance policy benefit".
The statement further reads, "the Management of Enugu Rangers FC wishes to sincerely appreciate the sports loving Governor of Enugu State Rt.Hon.Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who graciously approved and paid for a comprehensive life Insurance premium for all Rangers players and officials (i.e players in the premier league category) as requested by the club Management, which has come handy in this time of great need.
