Ivory Football Academy, Coach Danny
The Maiden Editon of Leg Lagos Challenge enters Match Day 2 with seven exciting matches played at the Teslim Balogun stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
The youth tournament organized by Donbalon Sports Commerz and sponsored by new entrant into satellite decoder home entertainment, Pipul TV, which features 16 U-23 grassroots football teams drawn from different parts of the state.
In the first game of the day, Ivory Football Club defeated hard fighting Destiny Boys football club, 2 goals to one.
The game was thoroughly exciting and with end to end actions that kept the crowd at the edges of their seats, the thrilling encounter was indeed, a testimony to the acclaimed abundance of pure soccer talents in the grassroots.

Speaking with the Owner and Coach of the Ivory Football Academy after the game, Coach Danny express delight and proud of the performance of his players despite the sweet victory and getting the vital 3 points available, there is still so much work to perform on them as they are still young and do not have experience of the big games but achieving the aims of exposing them for improvements.
"We would also appreciate this laudable innovations of Hon. Ladi Balogun for organizing such magnificent Competition because these are the kind of competition we need to expose the young talented players at the grassroots level enthused Coach Danny.
"The Nigerian - Lebanese Coach also echoed the challenges of  putting that professional and winning mentality into the players is a big task and i think the government need to still do more because there is no facilities available and they should create more avenues for this young talented players, but i believe things will get better because i believe in my players and aside exposure, Ivory a baby team, can still be a surprise package in this competition and probably winning it to the delight of our fans in Opebi and Onigbongbo LCDA.

The Director-General of the Lagos Leg Championship, Hon. Abdoubaq Ladi Balogun expressed Joy and Satisfaction with the standard of play and discipline displayed by all the teams.
“We are impressed with the performances of the teams that played in today’s matches. And we hope to see better matches as the tournament progresses,” Balogun enthused.
"The Ivory FA Striker, Joshua Obakene set a record in the tournament scoring the fastest goal of the tournament so far in the 42 seconds and will be hoping to continue with this superlative form when his side face Pacers FC and FC Fareed in their second and third game respectively which will determine their Quarter - final qualification.
