Speaking to NNL media on the preparedness of the team for the Bet9ja NNL super 4 engagement, Mobil Oparaku stressed that the team is ready to compete well in the most important league super 4 tourney,

The traditional South East club, however, has seen its fortune nosedive due to financial problems and was relegated to the lower league in 2016/2017 season but regained promotion to the elite division this term,

In readiness for the 2017/2018 season, the Heartland FC management promoted ex-Super Eagles right wing back  and former Heartland player, Mobi Oparaku to the position of team manager, However, Oparaku is no stranger to the team as he is expected to bring his footballing experience to the team he last played for.

On the team and preparations for the elite League which is schedule to kick off this weekend, Mobi said that the team is sure will not  be fighting against relegation.

“Our fans should expect a better team as we have done the needful. We will compete and compete well; we have built a very good team for our people"

“We have employed the services of a seasoned technician who knows the team in and out and for this season, we will not be fighting relegation again" Mobil Oparaku stated.
