The club intent to excel in the league this season is backed with the camping of 31 out of its 34 registered players in the ancient city of Kano ahead of its Saturday encounter against Katsina United FC inside the Muhammad Dikko in Katsina in one of the season openers of the 2017/2018 season.
According to the Media Officer of the club, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, the club's management decided to put the team in the camp to enable them to be focussed on the task ahead of them.
"All the players are very determined and ready to do well this coming season," Malikawa said.
The sai masu Gida played two friendly matches on Monday and Tuesday at Sani Abacha stadium kofar Mata and defeated Yarma light Fc by two goals courtesy of Alassan Ibrahim and Victor Denis.

And on Tuesday, the team trashed newly promoted Nigeria National League side, Giodano FC of kano 3-1.
Giodano Fc took the lead in 33rd minutes of played through Ali Musa and conceded an own goal in the 63rd minute of play while victor Denis and Adamu Hassan produced the winning goals for Sai Masu Gida in 76th and 90th minutes of the encounter.
Also kano pillars will play another friendly match with Rarara Academy FC at Sani Abacha stadium tomorrow( Wednesday) as the last preparatory match for the league opening game.
