He noted that the choice of Abuja for the camping exercise was considered due to its proximity to Lafia the Nasarwa state capital, where the team is expected to play Nasarawa United in the match day one of the 2017/2018 NPFL season.

The media officer pointed out the team which did not have the luxury to camp earlier due to unforseen circumstances beyond its contract, however, used the Ahlan pre-season tournament and the 2017 NPFL Invitational to prepare the team for the challenges ahead of the new NPFL season and CAF champions league.

Plateau united who will be playing as defending champions of the NPFL, will make their debut in the continent as they will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League which kick-off in february, 2018.
