| FC Ebedei vs Niger Tornadoes in Gold Cup Pre-Season Tourney |
Niger Tornadoes Football Club recorded their first victory in the ongoing Gold Cup Pre-Season Tournament with a 1-0 win over FC Ebedei courtesy of Mubarak Umar's goal. The goal, jabbed in by former Wikki Tourists' forward was also the club's first goal at the tournament.
Ebedei's keeper, Dauda Tosin make a quick brilliant save from Owusanya Uche's corner. Tosin was also called to action in the 25th minute as Tornadoes attacked initiated by Solomon Owello.
Ebedei got a chance to get ahead of the game when Awotoye fed Oluwatosin Adegbite but the forward's tamed effort gathered twice by Tornadoes' keeper Melai Terkaa.
Okereke Maduabuchi was gifted with another chance to score for Tornadoes but his effort went just wide after a good cross from Reuben Ogbonnaya. Just a minute to end the first stanza, Ebedei keeper, Dauda Tosin did a brilliant goalkeeping as he denied Owello from getting a goal for Tornadoes.

Daniel Bartholomew had a chance to level the scoreline for Ebedei in the 53rd minute but his effort went inches wide. It was end to end encounter as both sides couldn't find a cutting edge until the last ten minutes of the match.
Tornadoes got a deserved goal that proved their dominance in the match when Ibrahim Babawo raced down the right flank before founding Umar at the other end with a timed cross and the bulky forward jabbed in past helpless Tosin.
Head of Technical department for Ebedei, Oladeinde Babatunde was not disappointed with his side's performance despite defeat noted the target has been achieved at the tournament which was to encouraged and exposed the lads to bigger challenge.
Coach Shola Adewuyi of Tornadoes heaped a sigh of relief with the win and expressed confidence that the Ikon Allah boys would build on their performance ahead of the last match against ABS FC.
