SGFC Eagles concluded their pre - season tryouts in preparation for the 2017 ASL Fall season and five more players has been offered a deal to add more bite to every department of the team.
The technical crew noticed that, there is a urgent need to strengthen the team in all role, to have a strong back up team as the first team and five more players has been signed to help the team prosecute the games in fall season and fulfill their intention of winning the season.
Among players signed is a 19 year old Goalkeeper Chris Green an American with massive experience of American football, also is two lucky Nigeria born Midfielder - Abdul Adeniji 21 year Old Penned 1 year Contract with SGFC Eagles on provisional agreement with option to seek Transfer to Turkish side Fall 2018 and Osezele Omonzokpia Ehi-Douglas a 22 years old who arrived Washington DC July 2017 to resume college but luck has it that the young Nigerian player had been keenly watched while in Edo State during his school sports activities and was invited for the try - out which he passed and was offered a deal immediately.

Speaking with the Coach after unveiling the players; he said we know how important this players ar to this team, they are good signing for the club and the management are also happy to have them here, they are relaxed and feeling at home already with other players and we hope they would give their best to help the team achieve our goal of winning he season.
The team had applied for FR1 through United States Soccer Federation to enable this players eligible and continue playing as a professional player in the US speaking to sportflames.com corresponent in Washington DC.
The SGFC Eagles Head Coach Richard Opanuga further said we awaits the ITC clearance of Adeniji and Omonzokpia Ehi-Douglas from Nigeria Football Federation in Nigeria so they could be cleared to play with the rest of the team, It was recorded that while waiting for them to be cleared they have however played few test matches and Abdul Adeniji has scored 1 goal and assisted 1 two weeks ago, the coach concluded..............
