American Soccer League Golden Boot winner,  Myles Englis scored his 10th goal of the season, floating a header over SGFC Eagles goalkeeper Joel Isyaq's head to give his team Fury the lead in the early minutes of second half which eventually turned the match winner and handed Fury the Championship trophy for 2017 season and also set a record of not loosing a single game throughout the season. 

So much expectations for the Eagles before this game as they hope to correct their errors in their first game against Fury, they played well controlled the midfield perfectly and covered every space to avoid penetration from hardworking and experienced Fury players.      

 

Speaking with SGFC Eagles Coach " Richard Opanuga after the game" Could not be more proud of my boys today, they gave their best and held their own against the Fury. Its a good game from both side but the best team won at the end of the game but It's  a good thing we came up to participate in the league as this is our maiden experience and show what we are made of, also our own kind f football philosophy,  We can play good football and we finishing on Second position was never a fluke. Let's choose to keep riding high on this pace and keep the momentum of our prowess.

We thank each and everyone tonight for awesome fight. I will say a "Victory in denial" comparing game analytics of previous matches. We do not only play well, we stood by our role. Big thanks to Phillip and Uzo for making Fury Wings clipped. Amazingly MO Jawara was playing supporting striker role but he stood on Role function to assist the midfield by  winning mostly balls and made us numbers. Our defenders : Reuben, Obinna, Osmond, and Henri Gouhan was tight and closed all shave concluded Richard Opanuga.

American Soccer League CEO Matt Driver also confirm to us how much huge respect he gave to SGFC team, they are well coordinated, understand each other and exhibit good brand of football philosophy, i saw a great change in this team compared to the team that lost 5 - 1 in the first leg, i can see that they can avert challenges and were Sharpened and well prepared for the match.
