The Management of Rangers Intl. football Club of Enugu has appreciated
the invaluable support, motivation, and contribution of Enugu State
Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi towards sustaining Rangers Intl. FC and
protecting the goal image of the Club.
In a statement, the Clubs Director of Public Relations, media and
publicity Foster Chime, said Rangers Management will ever remain
grateful to Governor Ugwuanyi for always rescuing the team at the most
auspicious moments financially and morally, with a case in point, the trip to
Ndola, Zambia last week for the return leg match of the CAF
Confederations Cup play-offs.
Governor and the players

Governor Ugwuanyi in his magnanimity and benevolence, came to
the Clubs rescue when it mattered most, Thus saving the Club, nation and
State for what would have been a national disgrace by promptly releasing
money to pay Rangers players and officials Estacada running into millions
of naira to travel to Ndila, Zambia for the second leg match. Governor
Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has consistently demonstrated that as the number one

Sportsman in Enugu State and Rangers Intl. FC supporter he has imbibed
and portrayed the “Never Say Die” Spirit of the Coal City flying Antelopes in
propelling the Club to emerging Nigeria, professional league champions
after 32 years and guiding her to a continental Cup Campaign after so may
years in the doldrums.
Management believes it is heartwarming to note that Governor
Ugwuanyi’s guiding philosophy of Transparency, accountability and result
delivery has been epitomized judiciously and translated into a world class
team as rangers Intl F.C Enugu.
Rangers Management equally appreciates the support of commissioner for
youth and sports Charles Ndukwe as well as positive contributions of
Rangers fans, supporters and stakeholders who have remained resolute
and steadfast against all odds and difficulties to identify with the clubs all
through the continental campaign which ended abruptly last Saturday in
Ndila, Zambia.
Management apologizes that what itself to achieve and target
eventually did not come to fruition but assured that the club is undaunted
in its resolve to reclaim it’s lost glory and return to winning ways in the

Nigeria professional league and the federations cup.
Mean while, the reschedule league match between Rangers Intl F.C
