Rev Sam Ikpea
The National Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rev. Samuel Ikpea has commended the Minister of Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung over his stance concerning the forthcoming sports federations elections.

In a recent interview with the press, Dalung stated that it would no longer be business as usual, during the elections. According to the minister, the government will not condone situations where elections are reportedly held in hotel rooms.

Reacting to the statement, Ikpea opined that the stance of the government will herald transparency, productivity and efficiency in all the sports federations.
"I commend the minister over the decision of the government to ensure that nobody is imposed on any of the sports federations. This  would also help to avoid situations where square pegs are placed in round holes, " Ikpea said.

" You know, in the recent past, the minister had courted controversies over statements credited to him. It is a good thing to note that the honourable minister is improving concerning his policy statements, " he added.
The soft spoken administrator went on to commiserate with the government and the NFF over the passing away of former national player and coach, Paul Hamilton, who died after a protracted illness.
" This is another sad, but avoidable death in Nigerian sports. On behalf of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, I commiserate with the ministry of sports, NFF and the family of the decease.
" And we pray that God in His Infinite mercies grant his family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, " Ikpea remarked.
