It is going to be yet another 'Southwest derby' in Match Day 12 of the NPFL between the two great rivals since inception. MFM FC will be aiming to extend their unbeaten home form in the NPFL run to 13 games when they host the Sky Blue Stars at the 'Soccer Temple' in Lagos.

Remo Stars had a disappointing 1-1 draw on Wednesday with Kano Pillars and aren't comfortable with their current position and getting maximum point on the road could restore full confidence into the team.
Meanwhile the Olukoya boys after defeating the NPFL Champions, Rangers International last weekend, rested their key players for the key game against the Sky Blue Stars and lost 2-1 to Katsina United on Wednesday.

Both teams have met five (5) times in all competitions winning a game each and played out a 1-1 in all three (3) games drawn. Aside from what's at stake in terms of matches between these two always contain some needle, both teams and privately owned club and would share the fans.
MFM FC's Stephen Odey and Remo Stars' Victor Mbaoma lead the NPFL goalscoring chart with 6 goals each.
