President Buhari and Solomon Dalung
As Plot To Impeach Amaju Pinnick Thickens
If President Muhammadu Buhari relies and acts on the number of petitions written against the Sports Minister, Barr. Solomon Dalung which were submitted in his office in the last 14 days and are presently on the desk of the Chief of Staff to the President, Alhaji Abba Kyari then, the embattled Plateau-born administrator may just be among the speculated ministers to face the exit door in rumoured cabinet reshuffle coming up in a few weeks time, I can report on good authority.
My source in the presidency hinted that though, petitions have been pouring in against Dalung most of which were sponsored but the number of petitions against the minister in last couple of weeks are alarming, and this may not be unconnected with the speculated cabinet shake-up.
"Desmond, should the COS to the President submit the petitions against Dalung on his desk to His Excellency then, I am sure he (Dalung) will surely be among the ministers to go. The only thing that can keep Dalung on his job is if Mr. President considers other factors outside the petitions most of which I must confess contains damning allegations and accusations against him. It is really that bad."
Another source disclosed to yours sincerely that most of these petitions are coming from both the sports circle (especially from football stakeholders who are allegedly sympathizers of the embatled leadership of the NFF) and a powerful group within the presidency that does not like the face of Dalung and has someone already in the waiting to takeover from him. The "sponsored successor" has been a regular caller in Aso Villa in the last two months fraternizing with some staff of Mr President.

Solomon Dalung
Says my source, "Dalung is fighting a battle from two fronts. One from the sporting community made up football stakeholders and sadly from his ministry. Yes, there are persons within the Sports Ministry seriously working against him. Ironically, these people in the sports ministry are foot-soldiers of Dalung's enemies in the Presidency who are the second front."
Meanwhile, all is still not well in the NFF as plot to impeach Pinnick Melvin Amaju thickens. I gathered that the faction in the Football House waging a cold war against Amaju has stepped up it plans to unseat the Delta-born president of the NFF to stop his move to contest the CAF Executive Committee election. The plot is to impeach Amaju before the election date. The plot which is spearhead
ed by one of the outspoken chieftains of the Football House from the South South has been leaked as Amaju is now struggling to "buy his stay" in office. "He (Amaju) got a wind of the plot in the early hours of yesterday (January 1). It was leaked by a journalist who is a friend to one of the board members," says an insider. He is now trying to reach out to aggrieved board members to stop the move. He is really under immense pressure at the moment because the plotters may be sponsored by government officials."
Yours sincerely learnt that the final meeting of the plot took place while Amaju was busy enjoying himself at the Headies Awards.
