The League Management Company has endorsed January 15, 2017 kickoff date & July conclusion date for the 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League season, while Kano Pillars vs FC Ifeanyi Ubah will be on January 14, 2017
LMC's proposal to start a Youth League (U15) competition among #NPFL participating clubs in association with #LaLiga in furtherance to the partnership agreement between the two leagues has being approved. The League Management also approve incentives to #NPFL clubs as proposed by the LMC board in the 2017 budget. N500k for away win, N200k for away draw, N250k for attracting 5,000+ fans at home games, N200k monthly stadium maintenance, N100k for dressing three (3) U18 youth players in a matchday & one playing 15 minutes & N200k for dressing three (3) U18 youth players in a matchday with one playing at least 45 minutes. 

Major source of guaranteed revenues for the 2017 #NPFL budget is broadcasting, league partners & savings from 2016 while fore casted revenues are from funds due from debtors, expected new sponsors & strategic partnerships.
Major components of the 2017 #NPFL budget approved are total forecast gross revenues of N5,371m with Guaranteed Revenues standing at N3,156m & thus a total deficit of N1,043m including deferred payments of N496m brought forward from 2015 budget due to non-receipt of 2015 sponsorship revenue from former league title sponsorship holders.
A consideration for the 2017 expenditure plans presented by LMC board alongside the company's projected revenue streams & ratified the proposed expenditure budget of N3,703m for the 2016/17 #NPFL season.

The audited accounts of League Management Company presented at the last  Annual General Meeting would be filed with relevant authorities as provided by law upon final certification by the company appointed independent auditors Henry Young and Co.
The outline of expenditure report shows actual income receipts for 2016 of N2,831m as against the N2,112m expected guaranteed revenues & N4,817m forecasted gross revenues while actual expenditure for 2016 stands at N2,347m as against N3,260m expenditure budget approved for the 2016 #NPFL season.
The LMC board also presented a detailed income & expenditure report from the #NPFL 2015/16 season in comparison with budget proposal approved for the season from the last AGM.

The AGM was also briefed by the LMC board on implementing new #NPFL commercial strategy approved at the last AGM as well as signing new partners.

The League Management Company also agreed to the changes proposed by the NFF to optimize refereeing of #NPFL matches & urged the LMC board to continue to interface with the NFF referees committee.
Eight #NPFL clubs have been selected as pilot for the LMC-NASD OTC Stock Exchange project.

After the 3rd AGM of the LMC, all #NPFL clubs have expressed interest in joining the process of privatization through LMC-NASD OTC Stock Exchange partnership, subject to approval from the owners as required and i
n pursuant of the LMC Governing Structure, the 20 #NPFL clubs have nominated their reps to serve on the LMC board as directors for the 2016/17 season - Emeka Inyama (Abia Warriors), Mike Idoko (Lobi Stars), Emmanuel Aiyeyun (MFM), Danarewa Kurfi (Katsina Utd), Paul Bassey (Akwa Utd), Isa Matori (Wikki).
