Impressed with quality of work at the Mobolaji Anthony arena (Onikan Stadium) turf, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has gifted the CEO of Monimichelle Group Ebi Egbe $5000 for a job well done.

According to an online media group, Sanwo-Olu said the gift was to show  appreciation to the contractor for delivering  the beautiful geotech hybrid synthetic turf in an era where many  contractors handling government jobs hardly deliver on time.

A visibly happy Egbe said he was overwhelmed with the Governor’s gesture, adding being able to show what his company can do with MJA would spur him to do even more.

He said:" In Monimichelle, we don’t compromise standards and our jobs speak for us. What we did at the Enyimba Stadium, Kakardan Stadium in Katsina and now at Onikan and several other stadia is there for everybody to see.

" We are presently working in Awka and the FIFA Goal project in Ugborodo, Delta State and when we are done Nigerians would see that Monimichelle is truly a firm out to eradicate bad pitches not just in Nigeria but the African continent.”

It would be noted that several football stakeholders have lauded the Monimichelle Group over the high quality of the remodelled Onikan Stadium turf with South Africa’s Banyana Banyana head coach Desiree Ellis describing it as the best turf she had played on in Nigeria.
