Former Nigeria U20 player Maxwell Effiom got off the mark on Monday in his first start since joining Norwegian side Sandnes Ulf from Enyimba in the 2018/2019 season.

The 20-year old winger got the first goal of a thrilling 4 goal feast that ended in a 2-2 draw. Maxwell Effiom was on the scoresheet in the 25th minute, netting his first goal in 2 games this season.

The youngster endured a frustrating first season in Europe last year, making 3 substitute appearances, clocking 24 minutes for Sandnes Ulf in the Norwegian 1st Division.

He played 9 minutes in his side’s 4-3 win at the Øster Hus Arena 3 days ago and was rewarded with 57 minutes game time today against 12th placed Jerv.

Coach Bengt Sauternes will be hoping to call on the Nigerian when his side, placed 4th on the table welcome 6th placed Lillestrom at the Sandnes Stadion on 14th of July 2020.

At the Ågotnes Stadion Charles Ezeh and Peter Godly Michael were on the losing side as Øygarden FK lost 0-2 to Aasane. Both players are on loan from Lillestrom and Valarenga respectively.

Peter Micheal fired blank but has 2 goals in 2 games this season while Charles Ezeh has been involved in 2 games but yet to score.
