Anthony Joshua rules out possible fight with Mike Tyson, Anthony Joshua does not fancy a crack at Iron Mike according to UK reporter Phil Haigh

Anthony Joshua is not interested in fighting Mike Tyson if the former heavyweight champion does make a comeback, because he thinks no one would want to see him win.

Tyson, 53, is plotting a return to the ring after working hard in training, getting in fearsome shape and releasing some impressive videos hitting the pads.

Whether the youngest world heavyweight champion in history does step between the ropes again or not is yet to be seen, but it will not be against Joshua. The current WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight champ cannot see the upside in fighting Tyson, with the fans not wanting to see him beat Iron Mike.

" With all due respect I wouldn’t,’ Joshua told the Sun. Even if I fought Iron Mike and beat him, I think I’d be the only one cheering. People would boo. He is a legend and  greatest boxer of the modern era.

There are only two recognised champions the world knows of, Ali and Mike Tyson — the most recognised faces in the world when it comes to boxing.’

Joshua told British GQ: " This is what we breathe. This is what we are. And especially someone like Iron Mike Tyson, that’s all that man knows.

" For everyone else it’s a comeback, but for him it’s just what he does. He’s a fighter, right? ‘He’s probably just took a little break but for everybody else it’s like, " Oh my God! Mike Tyson is making a comeback!” ‘

" But for Mike Tyson it’s like, “This is what I do. I’m a fighter by nature” so if he’s back in the ring then I would love to see it. I’d definitely be one of the viewers, that’s for sure.’ he concluded.
