Afeez Aremu and a team mate
celebrates on of his goals in Norway
Nigerian International and IK Start of Norway midfielder, Aremu Afeez has revealed in an exclusive chat on a foremost WhatsApp group, Let's Gist Nigeria Football that he started football at a tender age and his brothers didn’t play football to the highest level which motivated him and made up his mind to be a footballer and play to the highest level.

" There were side talks about the exploits of my brother, I really feel pained but make up my mind to be a footballer. It was a gradual but steady progress for me,” and my achievement today can be attributed to determination and dedication.

The former U20 stated this while answering questions from Journalist on the Whatsapp platform " I honestly can’t deny the role of Remo Stars in my football development, after I left Dosu Football Club, I will always appreciate the club for their effort for me”,.

Afeez made his league debut with Remo Stars F.C at the age of 14 in 2013/14 Nigeria National Pro League season during their terrain in the Nigerian Second Division League.

He has played for several Nigeria Premier League teams, such as Sharks F.C. from where he played against Sunshine Stars Football Club, his sterling performance against Sunshine, forced them to sign him and put on their colours.

The midfielder had short stints at Rivers United and Akwa United before he was snapped up by IK Start in the Norwegian League in 2018 and scoring 5 goals in 55 appearances for the club since joining them.
