Prolific Striker, Victor Osimhen thumbs up for Rashidi Yekini, Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo, Chelsea legend Didier Drogba and former Barcelona hitman Samuel Eto'o as his football role models via Instagram.
The 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup record breaker and Golden Boot winner has often been compared with Nigeria's all-time record goal scorer Yekini due to his playing style and goalscoring ability, but he has acknowledged that he cannot fill the shoes of the legendary Super Eagles striker just yet, as he is still growing and hope to attain football maturity soonest.
The 21 year old was live on Instagram with his close friend Villarreal CF skillful winger, Samuel Chukwueze and made it known that, " Being compared to the late Rashidi Yekini (may his soul rest in peace) is really a great thing for me, but I feel I’m not there yet because of what he has achieved for Nigeria football and his wonderful career.
" He’s a big and respected legend, I'm not under any unnecessary pressure but would love to reach that level and I think I’m on the right path, he's one of my idols, so also Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto'o and Odion Ighalo, I watch them play while growing up.

" Ighalo is my big brother, I have so much love and admiration for him, I’m happy for everything he’s achieved and continue to, we are really close and I am learning so much from him.
" I seek advice from him always and he responds to me immediately with a brotherly answer, he’s genuine and real and also has a good heart, he’s one of a kind and God fearing at the same time.
Furthermore, He expressed despondency for the Global situation of Covid19 Pandemic, " This is really a time for everyone to stay safe and stay at home, tomorrow i will also be doing my own give away for families and friends, let that be my own support and relief funds, no matter how little.
" This is what we should all do at this period, express love, support and kindness to people around you, the virus is real and there has been total shutdown preventing everyone to go for their daily bread, Osimhen concluded.
