Former Trabzonspor midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi has explicitly illustrated how Late Stephen Keshi played a crucial role in his career.

The former Super Eagles’ coach made a vital contribution in making me who I am today, he revealed that he was invited to play for Nigeria by the late coach after he (Keshi) saw him (Onazi) play against Tottenham in 2012.

Onazi informed Super Eagles media team via Instagram live chat, " I have so much respect for the Big Boss, as we usually call him, I will never forget about him for that great moment he gave me the chance to showcase my potentials to all Nigerians.

" He’s a legend and may his soul rest in perfect peace, God bless him wherever he is right now, he contributed immensely to my football career, that opportunity was actually a turning point for me."

" That was when he asked Enebi, the Team Secretary if I was a Nigerian and he said yes, he said he wanted me in the national team, so that’s how I came to the Super Eagles and become a force to reckon with.

Furthermore, he expressed missing the round leather game, as all leagues global has been suspended due to corona virus outbreak and avoid the spread.
